If you bleed blue, Tuesday was a good night. Kentucky landed at No. 6 in the first College Football Playoff rankings, the highest in program history. The old high was No. 9 on Oct. 30, 2018. Not bad for a team picked to finish 14th among the SEC's 16 teams this summer.

The Cats are 7-1 and tied with Georgia for first in the SEC. If the playoff started now, Kentucky would host No. 11 Notre Dame at in the first round, with quarterback Kenny Minchey facing his old team. The winner would play No. 3 Utah.
